The logo dilemma

Designing a logo for oneself is a great way to lose more sleep. Through the years it’s been, honestly, a bit of a nightmare. It started years ago when I had to incorporate as ‘freelancing’ became my main gig. And picking a name and trying to ID myself was a necessity, even if I’d rather not do it.

You are likely your worst critic and designing an ‘ID’ or a ‘BRAND’ around yourself seems ridiculous and anxiety producing.

I started 2025 of with a desire to strike out in a new direction for my company logo which must convey more than just illustration. Below are a few attempts from the last 2 or 3 years. I’ll pretend the early attempts from 20 years ago don’t exist.
